Destination wedding photographer Matteo Carta: A Winter Wedding at Langelinie Pavillonen

If you’re looking for a Copenhagen wedding photographer, chances are you’re searching for someone who can preserve your wedding day exactly as it unfolds. That is exactly how I approach every celebration I photograph, whether it takes place in Denmark, Italy or anywhere else in Europe.
Henrik and Valeria’s big day was a beautiful reminder that every love story deserves to be told honestly. Valeria, originally from Sardinia, and Henrik, he born and raised in Danemark’s capital, they chose to celebrate their wedding in the city they now call home. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged their vows at the elegant Langelinie Pavillonen, where both the ceremony and the reception took place.
What immediately caught my attention wasn’t just the beauty of the venue or the magical Christmas atmosphere. It was the calmness of the entire day. During the preparations, nobody felt the need to perform for the camera. Conversations unfolded naturally, emotions appeared without interruption, and every hug, smile and glance happened exactly as they should.
As a reportage wedding photographer, this is what I look for. My role is never to create memories but to preserve them, allowing couples to relive not only how their wedding looked, but how it truly felt.
Whether being in Denmark or anywhere else in the world, my approach remains exactly the same: observe, anticipate and tell an honest story without ever interfering with the day itself.
Getting Married in Denmark? Let’s Talk.
I never ask couples to repeat moments.
I don’t move people.
I simply observe and photograph what naturally happens.
If you’re planning your wedding and looking for a photographer who will document your day with candid photography, I’d love to hear from you.
